Member of Sigourney board of education, fifteen years, president eleven years. Member of Keokuk county board of education. Member of Sigourney Chamber of Commerce. Member of Keokuk Farm Bureau. Past president and secretary of the Sigourney Lions club. Chairman of Keokuk County Civilian Defense. Engaged in farming. Member of Christian church, Mason, Shrine and I.O.O.F. Married to Dolly Willcockson of Sigourney, Iowa. Two children, Jeanette, now Mrs. Boyd Paulson of Fremont, Nebr., and Luke Edwin, after 42 months service of which 32 were in the Pacific area, is now associated with his father at Sigourney.
