A graduate of the Dysart high school, and holds a B.A. degree from the University of Iowa. Married to Corinne Deardorff of Churubusco, Ind. Has a married son, Robert G. Leo of Waterloo, Iowa, and a daughter, Mrs. Jean Mickelsar of Iowa City, Iowa. Served as Senator in 45th extra, 48th, 49th, 50th, 50th extra, 51st and 52nd General Assemblies. President Pro Tem of the 52nd General Assembly.
