Nashua Chickasaw Co. Democrat Born on a farm located fourteen miles southwest of New Hampton, Iowa, in Richland township, Chickasaw county, on September 4, 1883. Educated in the public schools of the same county and the Iowa State Teachers' college at Cedar Falls. Has owned and operated the same farm for the past forty years and is a breeder of purebred Hereford cattle. Was secretary of the local school board for 25 years and held the office of township assessor 20 years. Has been a director of the Big Four fair at Nashua for the past ten years. Is a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Nashua Methodist church and lives in the town of Nashua. Married Miss Pearl Yates of Hamburg, Iowa, on June 1, 1907, and they are the parents of a grown son and daughter. Serving his first term.
