Has been in retail drug business for self in Sigourney since 1911. Director of Keokuk County State Bank. Engaged in farming. Member Sigourney board of education 15 years. Christian church, Mason, Shrine, and I.O.O.F. Married Dolly Willcockson of Sigourney, Iowa. Two children, Jeannette, now Mrs. Boyd Paulson of Omaha, Nebraska, Luke Edwin, with the signal aircraft corps, U.S. Army. Serving first term in senate.
