Dysart Republican 45th Senatorial District Benton and Tama Counties. Born on a farm near Dysart, October 29, 1889. A graduate of the Dysart high school, and holds a B.A. degree from the University of Iowa. Married to Corinne Deardorf of Churubusco, Indiana. One son, Robert, who received B.A. degree from University of Iowa this year, now assisting his father in the livestock, grain and farming business, and one daughter, Jeanne, who is a junior at the Iowa State Teachers College. Served as senator in the extra session of the 45th general assembly. Re-elected in 1938.
