Educated in the Orange City schools, and University of Iowa, receiving a B.A. degree in 1922 and a J.D. degree in 1924. Married to Ethel Greenway of Pleasantville, Iowa, in 1928; father of one son, Peter Denne. A member of Masonic lodge, Consistory, Lions club, Delta Tau Delta, Phi Alpha Delta and Reformed church. Serving first term in legislature.
