HARLEY H. SORG

MR. SPEAKER: Your committee, appointed to prepare a suitable resolution commemorating the life, character, and public service of the late Honorable Harley H. Sorg, begs leave to submit the following memorial:

Harley H. Sorg was born in Fayette county, December 26, 1882, and passed away February 27, 1958, at the age of 76 years.

He attended rural school until he entered high school at Hawkeye, where he graduated, and after graduation he served for two years as an apprentice in pharmacy. He graduated from Highland Park School of Pharmacy in Des Moines, and engaged in the practice of pharmacy for many years.

He was married in 1908 to Clara B. Bopp, and to this union two sons, Nathan F. and Robert C., were born.

Therefore, Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the Fifty-eighth General Assembly of Iowa: That in the passing of the Honorable Harley H. Sorg the state has lost an honored citizen and a faithful and useful public servant, and the House by this resolution would express its appreciation of his service, and tender its sympathy to the members of his family.

Be It Further Resolved: That a copy of this resolution be spread upon the Journal of the House and that the Chief Clerk be directed to forward an enrolled copy to the family of the deceased.
