Dean, born August 10, 1904, and Margaret Shirley Dean, born October 2, 1915. Mayor of Lake View, Iowa, fourteen years. Served as private, Co. K, 49th Inf., U.S. Vols. in United States and Cuba 1898-99. Commissioned 1st lieutenant, U.S.A. 1918 and served in United States only. Member Masonic order, United Spanish War Veterans and American Legion. Republican in politics.
