Born at Wilton, Franklin, Maine, on 21 July 1811. He was the son of Nathan Wing and Love Frost. He married Minerva Diana Martin at Davenport, Scott, IA, in 1840. He represented Scott county in the Fourth Iowa General Assembly as a Senator, 1852, and in the Sixth Iowa General Assembly as a member of the lower House, 1856. Mr. Wing was a farmer and a member of the Scott County Agricultural Society. He died at Davenport, Scott, IA, in November 1870.
