Engaged most of life in farm work and farm management. Married to Eleanor Bemis of Polk county, Iowa, February 23, 1918. Elected representative to Thirty-ninth General Assembly on fifty-fourth birthday, it being President Harding's fifty-fifth birthday. Republican in politics.
