Representative from Boone county, was born in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, near Washington, D.C., September 4, 1878. He came west at an early age to Eldora, Iowa in 1900 where he entered the employ of the Northwestern Railroad. Came to Boone county in 1902, locating at Ogden as station agent and operator. Later engaged in banking business. Is now editor and publisher of the Ogden Reporter. Married to Anna B. Clark, December 25, 1906. Have two children, Virginia age 6 and Clark age 3. Republican in politics.
