HONORABLE CLAYTON E. BRONSON

MR. SPEAKER: Your committee appointed to prepare resolutions commemorative of the life, character and public services of the late Honorable Clayton E. Bronson, of Black Hawk county, Iowa, beg leave to submit the following report:

Clayton E. Bronson was born on a farm near Raymond, Black Hawk county, Iowa, on September 1, 1881. He moved to Waterloo with his parents in 1889 and was graduated from East High school in January, 1903, at which time he entered the insurance business established by his father, and continued with the Bronson Insurance agency until the time of his death, which occurred on January 28, 1935.

He was united in marriage on October 6, 1910, to Miss Nina Wangler, who with five children, Jean, Steve, Genevieve, Louis and Clayton, Jr., mourn the death of their beloved husband and father.

In politics, Mr. Bronson was a republican and served as representative from Black Hawk county in the Thirty-sixth General Assembly. He took an active interest in community affairs, and stood high in the confidence and esteem of his associates. He was at all times a perfect gentleman, genial, kindhearted, and devoted to his family and his friends.

Therefore, Be It Resolved, That in the passing of the Honorable Clayton E. Bronson, the state has lost a valuable and honored citizen, and the House would tender by this resolution, its sincere sympathy to the surviving members of his family in their sorrow, and

Be It Further Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be spread upon the Journal of the House, and that the Chief Clerk be instructed to send an enrolled copy to the family of the deceased.
