Raymond Charles Langan

Raymond Charles Langan was born on January 20, 1873, in DeWitt, Iowa, to Dr. Daniel Langan and Ellen Purcell. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and at Georgetown University law school, where he prepared for a career in law and public service. He was an investor in farms and city property and an attorney. He was active in politics serving in 1916 as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. In 1919, Langan married Florence Mardell Smith. The couple had 3 sons. Langan died on October 2, 1939.
