Mr. Campbell practiced law for many years and was active in civic, school and church affairs. He was at various times city attorney, county attorney, and a member of the state legislature. He was a member of the board at the Presbyterian Church for many years, served on the school board and was president of that body for several years, and was also president of the Merchants Exchange Bank. He was admitted to the bar of New Jersey in June, 1885, and the next month found him in Omaha, Nebraska. In the fall of the same year he came to Hamburg and practiced as a partner with H.M. Hammond, until the year 1889, at which time he opened an office of his own and with the exception of two years partnership with H. Repegale, had his own practice. Mr. Campbell is interested in the fruit business and has a forty acre orchard of peaches and apples. Mr. Campbell was city attorney and for two years the county attorney of Fremont county. He is one of our progressive business men and is unusually interested in all new enterprises that are for the best interests of the city. He moved to California and resided in Hollywood, California. He was engaged in the practice of his profession and was also interested in real estate business.
