F. J. BLAKE Webster county sends a new representative to the house this year, the Hon. F. J. Blake of Fort Dodge. Mr. Blake is a rising young lawyer of that place. He is an Iowa man born and bred, his birthplace Clayton county, July 16, 1865. He was married to Miss Effie L. Scofield, May 26, 1890. Their children are Gertrude, aged 6, and Susan, aged 3 years. He is a member of the Knights of Pythias. He has no religious preferences, but is inclined to the liberal views. Mr. Blake is a graduate of the law department of the State university, and though a young man in the profession, he is an able one. He has never held any public offices, and comes to the house fresh from a professional life, but well qualified in all respects to ably serve his constituents. He is a republican. He is interested in a number of minor matters of legislation, that will be of benefit to his friends and district.
