Born in Orange county, Vt., November 1, 1846. At the age of six years he removed to Bureau Co., III. By occupation he is a farmer and has never followed any other pursuit. He owns a farm of three hundred and twenty acres near Livermore, and is a breeder of fine stock, both horses and cattle. For two years he served his district in the legislature and is well-known in his locality. He was formerly a resident of Bureau county, and here married Miss Gertrude Woodruff. He is a prosperous farmer and a staunch republican, a man of whom no one can say naught but good.
