Abraham Timmons

Abraham Timmons was born on May 31, 1813, in Ross County, Ohio. He married Ann Archibald in July 1835, and they had two children. Timmons later moved to Iowa to join his brother, Thomas, in Dubuque. He owned land in both Marion (1843) and Dubuque (1845) counties. Timmons served as a representative for Benton and Linn counties in the second General Assembly. After completing his term on January 17, 1849, he relocated to Tippecanoe, Indiana, where he married Eleanor Archibald in April 1849 and had five children. In Tippecanoe, he worked as a carpenter, farmer, and lawyer. Timmons passed away in 1886.
