Born October 8, 1822, in Ohio. He married Adrianna Baldridge in Guernsey County, Ohio, on November 11, 1843. They moved to Jefferson County, Iowa. Mr. Collins represented Jefferson County in the Second Iowa General Assembly, 1848-49.
