PRATT WICKS Attorney at law and representative for the 74th district, was born in Manchester, Ind., in 1832; was admitted to the bar in 1853, at a term of the circuit court at Shelbyville, Ind., Hon. R.D. Logan presiding. The following year he began the practice of law at Greenburg; was elected to the office of district attorney in 1856, and re-elected in 1858; was elected prosecuting attorney of the 4th judicial circuit in 1866; held the office until 1869, and then resigned, on the division of the circuit, and came to Harlan, Ia.; was elected to the 18th general assembly in the autumn of 1879, and re-elected to the 19th general assembly in 1881, on the republican ticket.
