Mr. Kimball, from the committee appointed to present resolutions of respect commemorating the death of the late Hon. Demas N. Moninger, presented the following report:
MR. SPEAKER—Your committee appointed to draft resolutions of respect to the memory of Hon. Demas N. Moninger, respectfully submit the following:
WHEREAS, The Hon. Demas N. Moninger, an honored member of the Fifteenth General Assembly of Iowa, died at his home in Galvin, Marshall county, Iowa, on the 5th day of February, 1899, therefore be it
Resolved, That in his death his family is bereft of a kind and loving husband and father, the state and county loses the services and valuable counsel of an upright, conscientious and progressive citizen, and the cause of agriculture one of its devoted leaders. That we share and deeply sympathize with the family in this great bereavement and loss. That these resolutions be printed in the Journal of the House, and that the Chief Clerk be directed to forward an engrossed copy of the same to the family of the deceased.
