Born in Ontario, Canada on 1844, and passed away on 1917. He married Mary Emma Avis and had 4 children. He was an attorney and a democrat in politics. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1866. In 1870 John Miracle of Denison was elected to represent the 69th district in the Thirteenth Iowa General Assembly. He was County Judge for Crawford County Iowa in 1874.
