Harmon Van Antwerp
Cedar County
Born in 1816, a native of the state of New York, he came to the Iowa Territory about 1838 and shortly afterwards located in Cedar County. In 1840, he was chosen Representative from that district to the Legislature, in which body he distinguished himself as a talented and influential member. Mr. Van Antwerp died at Rochester, Cedar County, on the September 14, 1843. He was about 28 years old.
