Samuel Perkins Higginson
Cedar County
Born October 28, 1808, in London, England. He immigrated to the United States sometime in the early 19th century. He found employment as a sea captain. He married Freelove Wiggins Smith November 28, 1841, in Tipton, Iowa. He represented Cedar County in the House of Representatives of the Fourth Legislative Assembly of the Iowa Territory from 1841 to 1842. He died April 28, 1893, in Chicago, Illinois.
