Louisa County
Born April 13, 1809, in Logan County, Ohio. He married Tabitha McCulloch in July 1831 in Logan County. He came to Iowa with at least one relative, a brother, also living in Louisa County. He served as a Representative of Louisa County in the 5th Territorial Legislative Assembly. By 1850 he had returned to his native county of Logan County and was a lawyer. He and his wife Tabitha had eight children. He served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1854 to 1856 where in the House Journal he listed his occupation as “One of the People”. In the 1860 census he listed his occupation as justice of the peace. He died in Bellefontaine, Logan, Ohio, September 18, 1868.
