Born in 1813 in Ohio. He first arrived in Burlington, Iowa, in 1837. He married Ann Maria Mauro November 17, 1842, in St. Louis, Missouri. He served in the House of Representatives of the Fourth, Fifth, Seventh, and Eighth Legislative Assemblies of the Iowa Territory. He died in Burlington on October 6, 1862.
