Born Aug. 7, 1920, son of Rudolf and Louise Dreeszen. Attended country school, graduated from Cushing High School, 1937. Married Norma Crane, Denison, 1946. Farmer. Two sons and two daughters. Served in World War II for 3lk years. Awarded Iowa Master Farmer, 1964. Member of St. John Lutheran Church, Ida County Farm Bureau, Pork Producers, County Cattlemen's Association, Board of Review, 4-H leader. Member of Soil Conservation Society of America, Sub-Watershed Committee and American Soybean Association. Served on Water Pollution Control Commission, 1969-72; and National Public Advisory Committee on Soil and Water Conservation, 1970-73. Agricultural assistant to U.S. Rep. Wiley Mayne, 1972-74; American Legion; Kiwanis Club; and past member of Holstein Community School Board. First term.
