(Ed.), Northeast Missouri State University, 1967. M.A., Drake University, 1968. Teacher and coach, 1968-72. Owner/manager, Mel-Ray Mobile Home Park since 1972. Married Toni L. Pendergast of Kirksville, Mo., 1964. Daughter, Tirzah and sons: Aaron, Andrew. Served in U.S. Army for three years. Member, First Federated Church in Des Moines. Member, Ankeny Chamber of Commerce and Manufactured Housing Association of Iowa, treasurer, 1974-75 and president, 1976. One session of 68th General Assembly and remainder of present term.
