Iowa City Johnson County Republican. Born October 11, 1927, in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Son of Mose W. and Barbara Yoder. Served with the Marines, 1945-1949, and in the Korean conflict, 1950 to 1951. Married and the father of three children: Barbara, Deborah and Jeanne. Mennonite. Member of Iowa City Optimist Club, Elks, American Legion. Member of Home Builders Assn., Iowa Lumber Dealers Assn., past president of Home Builders Assn. of Iowa, Izaak Walton League. Director Iowa City Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Iowa Goodwill Industries and Community Givers. President Earl Yoder Construction Co. Elected to first term.
