Married Maria Gettert, 1941, and they have two daughters, Mrs. Joy Kracaw and Judy. Member of Methodist Church, Conference Board of Missions, Rotary, Masons and Y's Men's Club. Past president of the Chamber of Commerce, past president of the State and International Water Conditioning Association. Served as lay leader of the Methodist Church for many years, as well as leader of the Burlington District 1959-62. Named outstanding young man of the year in Junior Chamber of Commerce, 1955-56. Director of U.S. Water Company and also member of Iowa Wesleyan College Board of Trustees. Owner and Operator of Culligan Water Conditioning in Washington and Quad Cities. Serving second term.
