MELWIN E. STORY Waterloo Black Hawk County Republican. Born July 7, 1906, in Farmington, Iowa. Son of James W. and Linnie E. Story. Married Martha B. Buchanan, 1933, and they have two sons, William and David. Served two and one-half years with U.S. Signal Corps in World War II. Member of Congregational Church, 32° Mason, Shrine and Telephone Pioneers of America, Before retirement was with Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 40 years. Serving first term.
