Kossuth County Republican. Born October 13, 1924, in Wesley, Iowa. Attended elementary and high school in Denmark. Two years in college in teacher education. Member of Presbyterian Church. Served two years in Danish Army. Married in Lemvig, Denmark, 1950. Three children, Bonita, Edward and Timothy. Member of Farm Bureau and Toastmasters International. Precinct Chairman; Extension Council member and past president; 4-H Counselor; camp counselor for church groups (10 years); member of Men's Council for District, State and National Presbytery. Elected to first term.
