Graduated from grade and high school in Rossie Consolidated school; attended Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. In November, 1932, was married to G. Lucile Weik of Linn Grove. Resided on farm in Lincoln township until 1939 when they moved to the farm purchased in Clay township two miles south of Royal, where they now reside. Mr. and Mrs. Hagedorn have three children: Macel (Mrs. W. D. Magnussen) of Royal, Pauline, a senior in Royal high school, and Dean, a seventh grade pupil in Royal school. Lincoln township assessor; served his community in Red Cross, Triple A committees and was elected and served as a member of the Clay county Board of Education. Served on the Board of Trustees of the Lutheran church. He was elected State Representative in 1954 and re-elected in 1956. Minority floor leader in 57th General Assembly. Serving second term.
