Boston University, 1947, and additional graduate study, Boston U., 1947-48. Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities, 1942. U.S. Navy V-5 program, Sept. 1942; commissioned ensign March, 1943; navigator-bombardier in VB-108 in South Pacific; later navigator VR-2; now Lieut., USNR, Ret. Married Winifred Divine, 1944; two children, Harriet W., 17, and Robert Alan, 5. Member Grace Methodist Church, Frontier Club and serving on Civil Service Commission, West Des Moines. Insurance Executive with Prefered Risk Mutual Insurance Company, Des Moines, and Lecturer in Philosophy in University College, Drake University. Serving first term.
