Member St. John Lutheran Church of Newhall; Benton County, Iowa State, and American Bar Assn., National Council Boy Scouts of America; the American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Newhall Commercial Club; Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity; Farm Bureau; and Izaak Walton League. Iowa Department Commander of the American Legion 1965-66. Justice of the Peace 1956-1960. Town Treasurer, Newhall, 1953 to present. United States Army Air Corps 1942-1945.
