Born in 1822 in Pennsylvania. Mr. Allison arrived in Monroe County in 1847 and moved to the town of Albia in 1849. He married Miss Minerva Acheson on October 13, 1849. Mr. Allison was one of the first lawyers in the small town of Albia, and was the first of a number of prosecuting attorneys who worked within the county of Monroe. Each individual was in charge of a district within the county. Mr. Allison represented Monroe County in the Second General Assembly, 1848.
