Farmer in Promise City. Born in Richland County, Ohio, May 11, 1825, and located here May, 1856. He owns 160 acres of land, valued at $25 per acre. He is a member of the M. E. Church, and a Democrat. His wife, Mary Jane Sturgeon, was born in Washington County, Penn., July 28, 1827, and they were married April 10, 1855. Mr. Pierson was a School Director, Assessor, Supervisor, and was a member of the House of Representatives in 1858 at the new Capitol.
