Graduated Morningside College and University of South Dakota Law School. Served in U.S. Navy, 1943-1946. U.S. Naval Reserve, Sioux City, Iowa, presently commanding officer of Sioux City Naval Reserve Group Command in charge of all Sioux City Naval Reserve units. Presently owns and operates Koch Insurance, Real Estate and Tax Service. Private consultant in golf course construction. Member of First Lutheran Church, Sioux City: Sertoma Club. Masons, Shrine, American Legion, Navy League of the U. S. Married Darlene M. Koch, 1947, and they have five children: Diana Lynn. Robert Alan, LuAnn, Karla and Gerald. Elected to second term.
