Born January 12, 1811, in Virginia. He emigrated to Ohio in 1828 and came to Iowa in 1847 making his home in Muscatine County. He was a farmer by trade. He was twice a legislator in the Iowa Legislature in the 8th and 9th General Assemblies, 1860 and 1862 and also served on the Muscatine Board of Supervisors. He was a Republican in politics. Mr. Price married Rachel Foster October 25, 1828, and they had five children.
