Born near Stanton, Morrow County, Ohio, March 27, 1841. In 1863 he entered the army as sergeant in Co. G. 88th Ohio Infantry. He was discharged on account of poor health and soon after settled in Osceola, Iowa. He was married to Miss Mary Jane Reed. In 1870 Mr. Dague represented this district in the Iowa Senate. He was also a well known newspaper man and writer having been in that business most of this life. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
