Born in 1839, in Hamilton County, Ohio. He came to Jefferson County in 1846. Mr. Hayden married Miss Emily Bristor, of Henry County, in 1867. Dr. Hayden is a graduate of the allopathic school, of Keokuk. He enlisted in 1861, in Co. I, 3d Iowa Cav., and was mustered out at Davenport, Iowa, Sept. 4, 1864. He owns a 200 acre farm in Sec. 13, Des Moines Township, one-half mile from Libertyville. Mr. Hayden was elected to represent Jefferson county in the Eighteenth General Assembly, 1880. He is a Republican in politics.
