Publisher of three newspapers: Neola Gazette-Reporter, Minden-Shelby News and the Earling Echo. President Neola Swimming Pool Association, 1966; President Neola Civic Association 1946-48. Neola American Legion Commander; Pottawattamie County Legion Commander and Seventh District Vice Commander, State Representative four sessions, 1951-1959. Elected to Senate Nov. 8, 1966.
