Born at Louisburg, Pennsylvania, November 20, 1850. He with his parents immigrated to Lee County in 1853 where they made their permanent home. On December 21, 1876 he was married to Alice Newby at their country home in Lee County, Iowa. Mr. Snook was-a well-known citizen of the state. He served one term in the state legislature and was always interested, in everything that was for the good of the community.
