Born June 18, 1846, in Franklin County, Ohio, the son of Cornelius and Julia (nee Kimball) Rorick. In 1854, his parents moved to Henry County, Indiana, and in the spring of 1859, emigrated to Jones County, Iowa. In the summer of 1864, engaged in the employ of his brother G. H. Rorick, a merchant in Louden, Iowa, which he continued most of the time till 1867, when he moved to Toronto, engaging first at carpenter and joiner work, and subsequently at railroad bridge-building, after which he engaged in the grain business. In 1874, he commenced the study of law, and was admitted to the bar in 1878. Mr. Rorick married Miss Mattie J. Hammond February 17, 1865. He served as Justice of the Peace at Toronto, and other offices. He was elected to represent Clinton County in the Nineteenth General Assembly, 1882. He was a Notary Public. A Democrat in politics. Mr. Rorick died July 29, 1933.
