Van Buren county will have a change in the house this winter, both in the man who represents that district, and in politics. The Hon. C. E. Bull of Wilton, was born in Scotland county, Mo., October 3, 1853. He has been a resident of Iowa sixteen years. Mr. Bull was married to Miss Ida Billups, December 1, 1875. The only child born to them a daughter, is dead. They are members of the Universalist church. Mr. Bull is a member of the Mason, Knights Templar, I. O. O. F., and Knights of Pythias lodges. He has served the town of Wilton one term as mayor, and has held the office of school treasurer for fourteen years, nearly all of his residence life in Wilton. The contest for representative was a very close one in Van Buren county last fall, and Mr. Bull's election was a decided victory, and a compliment to him as to his popularity as a citizen. He is a loyal man to his political convictions, democratic, and won the election by his earnest work in that party, combined with his own personality.
