Born in Wyoming County, New York, February 13, 1861. He has been a resident of Iowa for twenty-two years, He was married to Miss Carrie Baker, July 28, 1885. The first four years of his residence in Iowa was in Winneshiek county, after which he moved to Lyon county. Mr. Anderson is in the hardware and grain business with his brother, the firm being G. M. & B. B. Anderson. The town of Inwood, Mr. Anderson's home, recognizes his sterling ability by selecting him its mayor. He is another of the democratic faith who will increase the vote of that party in the house this winter. Lyon and O'Brien counties send Mr. Anderson to represent them in the Twenty-seventh General Assembly, assured of his loyalty to his constituents, his ability as a statesman. He is a member of the I. O. O. F. lodge. His political opponents have only the highest words of commendation for him as a man of integrity and excellent business qualifications. He takes a lively interest in all things pertaining to business progress and will be a valued member of committees pertaining to such matters. Coming from the newer part of Iowa, western portion, he realizes the need of legislation that will aid his district, and will work to that effect.
