Editor and publisher of the Indianola Herald. He came with his family to Iowa in 1864 settling in Warren county. He helped on the family farm as he grew to manhood. He learned the trade of saddlery and harness making. He worked the trades until 1882 when he went back to farming. Later he joined his father, Thomas T. Anderson, in the purchase of The Indianola Herald newspaper. He served in the 28th and 29th General Assemblies.
