Born in Fountain county, Indiana, September 1, 1836. In 1837 his parents came to Iowa, locating first in Van Buren county. In 1842 they removed to Davis county. For many years Mr. Prevo had been engaged in mercantile business in Bloomfield. He had served as a member of the board of supervisors, and of the city council. He represented his county in the 30th General Assembly.
