Representative from Fayette county. Born of American parentage in Black Hawk county, Iowa. He acquired his education in the district school with the exception of two terms at Western College and two terms at Upper Iowa University in the county in which he lives. He was raised on a farm and at the present time is engaged in farming and breeding of Percheron horses and Shorthorn cattle. He held the office of township assessor, was county supervisor six years. Is vice-president of the Wadena Savings Bank. Elected Representative in 1903 and re-elected in 1906. Served during the Thirtieth, Thirty-first and Thirty-second General Assemblies. A Republican in politics.
