Married Dorothy Newell Dec. 28, 1930, in Canton, S. Dak. One son: Myron, 35. Owns and operates a farm near Fayette. Member Maynard Cooperative, United Presbyterian Church (elder), Master Farmer Club of Iowa, Big Rock Golf and Country Club, County Farm Bureau (president), Dallas County F.H.A. United fund committee organization chairman, township assessor, Fayette County Republican chairman and school board member. Alternate delegate to national Republican convention 1960. Participated in "People-to-People" tour to South America 1965. Serving first term.
