Graduated Grinnell College 1948. Employed 1948-1950 in Maytag Sales-training department, from 1950-1957, Maytag Refrigeration Division Manager. President Klipto Printing and Office Supply Co. 1957 to present. Director First National Bank of Mason City. Married Jean Cady, Oct. 3, 1959, in Mason City. Children: Mark, 6; and Julia, 4. World War II Navy Lieutenant (j.g.) pilot and navigator. Member Episcopalian church, American Legion, Masonic Order, Shrine Bodies, Farm Bureau, North Iowa Fair, Boy Scout Council (treasurer), Mason City Planning and Zoning Commission (vice chairman). Elks, Rotary, and Civil War Roundtable. Second term.
